The best course that I have ever purchased
Date: November 14, 2009
"It is with regret that I completed this course last evening, because it was a daily pleasure to have it as a companion on my commute. The scope of the course is immense, and Professor Greenberg is an incredibly gifted and knowledgeable lecturer, perhaps the best that I have been lucky enough to hear. I know this sounds like gushing praise, but this is an amazing series of lectures, and I highly recommend it."

How to Listen to and Understand Great Music
Date: October 28, 2009
"This was the first course that I purchased from The Teaching Company. After months of procastination, I finally purchased Robert Greenberg's, 'How to Listen to and Understand Great Music'. Before purchasing it, I read all the reviews and almost everyone of them was positive. This seemed a little fishy to me at first but afer finishing this program all I have to say is, they were right!! Mr. Greenberg is the real deal. Excellent teacher!! I highly recommend this course!!"

Long but Still Great
Date: October 15, 2009
"You know it's really a great course when you get to a composer you have no interest in listening to (lecure 48 - Schonberg, for me) and by the end of that lecture, you want to hear a couple more pieces.
This is a very good survey course of concert music. He doesn't hit everything but gives you the language and pieces needed to understand the music of that time as well as one or more examples (would have maybe liked a few more examples). If you want to know more about music, this is a great place to start."
